If you are working with multiple audio outputs and you are in rush of changing them, it is kinda annoying to always open System Preferences.
Fortunately there is a hidden path which is in plain sight right on the MenuBar.
So, you normally have the sound icon like this:
But if you press the Option (Alt) key, you will have a bunch of options, including the output devices switcher:
